Glen Rock Schools Plan Closure For Coronavirus Prep

The Glen Rock Public School district will be closed to students on Monday, March 16 so staff can further develop plans in case of long-term.

GLEN ROCK – The Glen Rock Public School district will be closed to students on Monday, March 16 so staff can further develop plans in case of long-term school closures.

The district will also work to do a deep clean and disinfect its buildings. Before and after-care and community school after-school enrichment will be closed. Sports activities and practices will run as scheduled.

“This is a precautionary measure. We want to be as prepared as possible should schools close for a
longer period of time resulting in the need for instruction to shift online.” said Brett Charleston, superintendent of schools.

He also added, “Our goal is to minimize disruption and maximize learning should there be a need to close schools.”

If the district closes due to the coronavirus, students in K -12 will shift to an online teaching environment for as long as necessary
