Glen Rock Blotter: Sick Woman Tries To Enter Kilroy's, Man Spits
Also, neighbors argue over landscaping and police find new graffiti around town.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Between March 30 and April 5, Glen Rock Police Department handled 349 calls. The highlights of those calls are below.
At 8:04 a.m. on March 31, an officer found graffiti painted on a utility box near the basketball court. There are no known witnesses, and no evidence was found.
At 8:39 a.m. on March 31, a Glen Rock man reported an unauthorized transaction on his Visa card out of Boston on March 29. Two more unauthorized transactions were posted before Visa put a hold on the man's card. The total amount of fraudulent charges amounted to $264. The credit account was closed.

At 11:53 a.m. on April 4, police were called to Bottle King Liquors on Prospect Street where an irate elderly man demanded to enter the store in spite of the store's social distancing provisions. Police said the man spat on the ground near an employee. The man left before police arrived. Anyone who witnessed the incident and can help identify the man is asked to call police at (201) 652-3800.
At 3:54 p.m. on April 2, management at Kilroy's called police about a woman who said she was sick but wanted to enter the store. An officer spoke with the woman, and she agreed to have a family member do her shopping for her.

At 8:06 p.m on April 2, police and Bergen County Sheriff's officers searched for an "emotionally disturbed" man who had wandered away from his home. The man returned around an hour later and was reunited with his family.
At 9:14 p.m. on April 2, police searched for an adult man who had left his home to buy food but had not returned home in over two hours. Police said the man is new to the area and had become lost in another town.
At 7:37 a.m. on April 3, a police sergeant found graffiti painted on the rear of the Glen Rock Ambulance Corp building. Anyone with information about this is asked to call the Glen Rock Police Department at (201) 652-3800.
At 1:52 a.m. on April 4, the owner of the Salem Court home called police about a man wearing a mask walking through the under-construction structure with a flashlight. Police responded but found no intruders nor any damage.
At 3:26 p.m. on April 4, police were called to the Glen Rock Recycling Center when Department of Public Works employees said a man in a white Subaru became irate when he was told he could not leave a plastic bag at the center. The man threw the bag at an employee and left before police arrived.
Anyone who can identify the man in the Subaru, or his license plate number, is asked to call (201) 652-3800. Police warned anyone assaulting or abusing borough employees will be charged and prosecuted. "This also applies to the many storekeepers and service employees who are providing vital services to all of us during this time of crisis," police said.
At 2:04 a.m. on April 5, an officer was dispatched to a Leigh Terrace home after someone reported a heated neighbor dispute over landscaping issues. Both people involved were interviewed, and the officer determined no one had broken the law.
