Bergen County Restaurant Gets Help From Gordon Ramsay On TV's 'Kitchen Nightmares'
What's a mom to do when her 3 TikTok-influencer sons don't take their family restaurant seriously? The Bergen County eatery appeared on TV.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The ups and downs of the restaurant business can turn any kitchen into a nighmare.
After almost a decade off the air, chef Gordon Ramsay's show "Kitchen Nightmares" has returned to Fox — and will focus this season on helping only restaurants in New Jersey and New York .
The third episode of the new season, which aired Monday, featured the Gigante family and their relatively new Italian restaurant in Dumont, in Bergen County.

Da Mimmo, described as a "classic Italian restaurant," is owned by retired Hoboken Police Lieutenant Melissa Gigante and three of her sons, Antonio, Vito, and Vincent.
All three sons are popular on TikTok, showing off their family antics. They tend to cuss a lot, and sometimes cuss while demonstrating how to cook.

But do they take the restaurant seriously?
Ramsay wasn't so sure.
Melissa had opened up the restaurant in 2022 to pay respects to Melissa's late uncle, who was a chef for many years, said a representative for the show.
The producers described Da Mimmo as "a passion project for a retired mother to work on with her three sons, but Gordon is forced to step in when two of the sons see the failing business as a joke in the all-new 'Da Mimmo' episode of Kitchen Nightmares."
On the show on Monday, one of the brothers said he wasn't going to take orders from Ramsay.
"If Gordon yells at me, I'm busting his balls right back," he said. "I'm not taking s--- from that f------- guy."
Ultimately, Ramsay helped streamline the menu and encouraged the sons to promote the eatery more, including on social media.
Da Mimmo now offers six pasta dishes and five brick oven pizzas (menu here), as well as performances such as comedy and concerts. See the list of shows here.
Viewers enjoyed watching.
"Very much enjoyed this episode!" wrote one on social media. "Your fam is hilarious, and has a lot of love. The pizza looks good, I want to dine here someday!"
Mama De Mimmo posted, "Here’s to new beginnings, new friends and success! The night would not have been possible without the support of others!"
The show airs each Monday at 8 p.m. on Fox. The Da Mimmo episode now appears on Hulu.
"Each episode follows Ramsay as he revamps a restaurant in crisis, exposing the stressful realities of running a successful food business. Now more than ever, restaurant owners are faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges, from health code violations and staffing issues to menu errors and kitchen conditions found only in nightmares. Ramsay is their restaurant 9-1-1 call and the last chance for their businesses to survive."
