Glen Rock's 4th of July Theme Chosen

Summer may seem like a ways away, but the Glen Rock Independence Day Committee is trudging through the winter readying for the annual 4th of July Parade.

After a meeting last week, the committee chose "Glen Rock Sports and Celebrities" as the theme of 2012.

As usual, the main financing mechanism of the parade will be the annual Indepdendence Day raffle. Donations from local businesses, organizations and citizens also contribute, organizers say.

The 2012 raffle will contain great grabs like a TV, 3D camera, a painting donated by a Glen Rock artist, Kilroy's gift cards and more.

The committee is still looking for donations, so if you work at a company interested or just have an idea, the parade committee asks you contact them.
