Hackensack Grandma Shares Grandaughter's Christmas Wish With Santa

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to share local children's letters to Santa this holiday season.

HACKENSACK, NJ — Writing a letter to Santa is a treasured tradition for many Hackensack families. They’re a lens into the magic of the holiday season through the eyes of a child.

We’ve partnered with T-Mobile so we can all share in their joy. This letter, submitted by Alfreda Thweatt in Hackensack, was written by 12-year-old Tatiana Thweatt:

"My granddaughter wants a cellphone for Christmas. Her reason is every one of her friends have phones & they are always in contact with their parents. She said Gammie, what if its an emergency how can I reach you if none of my friends are around?"

Santa is waiting to hear from your kids, too. Click here to fill out the form, and you can submit a photo if you’d like.

Please note: Your child’s letter may be shared with your community to help spread holiday cheer. However, all fulfillment requests need to be routed separately to the North Pole and/or Santa himself. In other words, these letters are just for fun: Santa won’t be checking the lists on Patch.
