Former Ford Model Returns To Her Native Ridgewood To Open Studio

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Interior designer and Ridgewood native Kim Baker is bringing her modern luxury design studio, Eleven Oak Home, to Ridgewood this spring.

Eleven Oak Home, located on 11 Oak St., will open in early May, she announced.

The studio "will be an elegant interior design studio and curated boutique," said a release. "It will feature unique luxury home furnishings culled from Baker’s European travels, original art, as well as vintage one-of-a-kind furniture and curios"

In addition, "The design studio will also carry a collection of charming, handcrafted children's decor inspired by Kim’s granddaughter, Shay," the company noted.

A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for May 6 at 5 p.m. with Mayor Paul Vagianos, as well as The Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce.

'Thrilled To Be Back'

Baker grew up in Ridgewood and began modeling before launching her design career . Her family was even profiled in the New York Times in 1979. After traveling the world as an interior designer, she's returning to her roots.

“I am thrilled to be back in Ridgewood," Baker said. "I have had the fortune to travel and work throughout the United States and worldwide, but there is no other place I would rather open my design studio than in my hometown. I hope that Eleven Oak Home will be a destination for design enthusiasts to find inspiration for their personal design projects.”

Baker and her associates will be sharing their “at work” designs - both on vision boards and in design trays - offering a hands-on design experience.

From the luxury interior home designs and rotating window treatments, to the whimsical children’s accessories, Eleven Oak Home will be a "haven for those seeking design inspiration."
