Jeremy Cahill, of Ridgewood, Dead at 26

Wake to be held Wednesday, funeral on Thursday.

Jeremy Cahill, a 2004 graduate, died on Saturday, Sept. 1, according to his obituary.

Cahill, 26, was a carpenter and craftsman in Hackensack where he moved to focus on his trade.

"Jeremy touched people he met in ways beyond his comprehension," his obituary reads. "He was a kind, loving soul who was devoid of any malice and possessed the ability to improve and fix the world around him."

Cahill was remembered as a "joker" and a "decent, hardworking son, brother, friend and neighbor who would not hesitate to offer assistance in any endeavor."

He is survived by his parents, Kathleen and Daniel Cahill; brothers Michael and Matthew Cahill; and grandparents Paul and Martha Puccio of Oradell.

His wake will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at in Ridgewood. The funeral mass will be held the following day at in Ridgewood at 10:45 a.m.
