Man Charged With Assaulting 2 14-Year-Olds In Bergen County: Prosecutor

A 56-year-old man was charged with assaulting two 14-year-old boys in Bergen County, prosecutors said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A 56-year-old Paramus man was charged with assaulting two 14-year-old boys in Bergen County, prosecutors said.

Christopher Del Savio was charged Friday, Sept. 13 with simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

On Friday, the Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding alleged child abuse, prosecutors said.

An investigation determined that Del Savio had "physically abused two juveniles under the age of 14 years old in Paramus," prosecutors said.

He was taken to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
