Man Charged With DUI, Hit-And-Run After Crash In Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A man was charged with DUI on Friday afternoon after he hit a parked car in Ridgewood, kept going, and landed on someone's lawn, police say.

On Friday, June 21, at 3:48 p.m., a man sideswiped a parked car near East Glen Avenue and Northern Parkway and kept going, said Ridgewood Police Captain Glenn Ender.

The driver, Edwin Barahona, 34, of Midland Park, was charged with driving under the influence, aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and was given nine motor vehicle summonses, including one for leaving the scene of an accident, Ender said.
