Man Charged With DWI Crashes Into Ridgewood Parking Garage: Cops
The man, who had marijuana and Xanax on him, also hit 10 vehicles while trying to exit the parking garage, police said.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A man who was charged with DWI crashed a dump truck into a parking garage and 10 vehicles while trying to flee the area, police said.
Daniel Brancato, 22, of Emerson was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and possession of controlled dangerous substances, Ridgewood Police said in a news release.
Police responded to 247 East Ridgewood Ave. at 2:27 p.m. on a report of a vehicle crashing into a building.

Brancato was trying to leave the underground parking garage when the truck got stuck due to the low clearance, police said.
The truck severely damaged the ceiling and hit several vehicles inside and on East Ridgewood Avenue after Brancato finally pulled out and drove away, police said.

Police stopped Brancato in a Prospect Street parking lot. He got a minor cut on his hand and declined medical attention, police said.
The parking garage services several businesses on E.Ridgewood Avenue.
