Woodbridge Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Child In Bergen County: Prosecutor
A Woodbridge man, 20, has been charged with the sex assault of a child in Bergen County "on multiple occasions," prosecutors said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ —A 20-year-old Woodbridge man has been charged with the sexual assault of a child in Bergen County, prosecutors said.
Richard G. Simko of the Sewaren section was arrested on Wednesday, July 17, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
He was charged with five counts of second-degree sexual assault and a count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors said.

He was taken to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
Prosecutors said that on Sunday, May 19, 2024, the Bergenfield Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile under the age of 16 that had occurred in the past.

An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Bergenfield Police Department determined that Simok had assaulted the victim in Bergenfield "on multiple occasions."
Simko was arrested in Woodbridge, prosecutors said.
