A report of a Bergen County man recording someone without their consent led to accusations of sexual assault of a pre-teen, prosecutors say.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Hackensack man who allegedly recorded someone without their permission was charged with both invasion of privacy and with the sexual assault of a child, prosecutors said Thursday.

Braulio F. Toral, 52, of Hackensack was arrested on Monday and charged with sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated criminal sexual contact, invasion of privacy, and criminal sexual contact, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors say an investigation determined that Toral "recorded the victim, without their consent, on numerous occasions, under circumstances in which one would not expect to be observed. The investigation also revealed that Toral sexually assaulted a child on multiple occasions, beginning when the child was under the age of 13."

As a result of the investigation, Toral was arrested in Paramus.
