Monday: Big Day for Both Council and School Board

1) The council will be meeting at 5:00 p.m. for a budget meeting before heading over to (the two bodies don't seem to be on the best of terms) to crunch numbers on its proposed budget.

The school board will also likely hear an earful from residents upset about how the turf fields were beaten by floods last week at its public meeting at 7:30 p.m.

2) The trash will be collected on the West Side and recyclables in District 5.

3) Is there something in a name? A pedestrian was killed on Ridgewood Avenue in Port Orange, Florida on Saturday after allegedly being hit by a New Jersey motorcyclist, police say.

4) guidance counselor Alice Tepfenhardt, with thirteen years in the district, announced her retirement, according to the school board's March 21 agenda.
