Monday: Boys Lax Took Down Rival; School is Back in Session
See a few things worth knowing Monday (not flood related).
1) A big congrats goes to the Ridgewood boys varsity lacrosse team for taking down one of North Jersey's giants, Mountain Lakes, on Saturday. Led by Garrett Clarke, Peter Reuter, Garcia Logan, and Max Luing, Ridgewood defeated Mountain Lakes 10-7. Ridgewood avenged the losses of 2010 and 2009 and look poised to rebound in a huge way after a disappointing 2010.
2) Ever want to learn how to create a family tree? Head over to the library at 7:00 p.m. and learn how in part one of this two-part class.

4) The Superintendent of Schools and Board of Education are crafting an initiative to drum up public support for those 'interested in advocating for Ridgewood's public education' at the state level. Dubbed the 'Legislative Advocacy Community,' the organization will meet at the Education Center at 7:30 p.m. at an event that features Lynne Strickland, the Executive Director of Garden State Coalition of Schools. Strickland will be addressing legislative issues, funding issues and tips on how to garner the attention of legislators.
5) You had your fun, kids. Now it's time to get back to work! After a rainy Spring Break vacation week, kids are back in school on Monday.
