1) Leaf pickup begins today in Area D, according to the village. Collection runs through December 17th. Leaves are to be placed directly in the street or in paper biodegradable bags no more than seven days prior to your collection date. No leaves are to be placed within ten feet from any catch basin inlet.
2) We checked out the village's website on Sunday and suddenly were hit with a big red screen explaining there was "something not right here." Red screens with stop signs tend to be a giveaway, right? As it turns out the village website apparently has some content from "nbnkjl.com" that qualifies as malware. Google suspected the website was hacked and urged the user [me] to be cautious. Anyone else have this happen to them?
3) Speaking of village tech issues, if you want to watch the webcast of the council's Thursday night Valley meeting, cool. Just don't plan to watch the last hour of the three-hour meeting unless you're a lip reader, because the sound doesn't work.
