Monday: Officials Still Say It's Best to Stay Inside

If you must, don't Trick-or-Treat until late Monday afternoon, officials say

1) Traffic lights in areas are still out, so the village is recommending drivers approach intersections with caution.

2) There's no curfew in Ridgewood (like there was in Glen Rock Sunday night), but officials are urging that Trick-or-Treaters not venture out until late afternoon, if at all. Wires could again go live as public service juices up the grid, electrocuting people. Many wires could remain hidden under snow

3) Village officials said Sunday night that regarding outages, they basically know what we know – there are outages across numerous sections of town though power has been restored to many of the areas around Valley, Village Hall and the CBD. Others are not so lucky. Some residents have told us PSE&G says power will be restored as early as Monday, others remarking Wednesday is the projection. As of 1 a.m. Monday, fewer than 10,001 were without power.

4) The oft-postponed Ridgewood-Teaneck football game is tentatively scheduled to be played at 4 p.m. in Ridgewood, but due to power outages, is subject to change.

5) There will be limited NJ transit service Monday, with mo bus service to upper Ridgewood, per the village's sparsely updated Twitter page.
