Monday: Tell School Officials Why You Voted 'No' to District Budget

Meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Education Center

1) If you made your but would like to say it verbally, go to the third floor of the at 7:30 p.m. and tell BOE Finance Committee head Bob Hutton, board president Michele Lenhard and Assistant Secretary of Business Angelo DeSimone why you said nay. The budget passed by 369 votes but with the number trending upward, Hutton said at the last school board meeting that the board would like greater communication with the community find out why that's the case.

2) We , but it bears repeating – the district has sent out its Second Annual Parents Survey, so check your inbox and let the district know what you think about a range of educational issues in town.

3) Rain, rain go away! After a few days of consecutive rainfall, things aren't easing up on Monday. The National Weather Service predicts a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow. It should be around 65 degrees. And don't look now (really, it'll just upset you) but there's a solid chance it could rain all week.

4) Here's a heads up for you – an issue that , West Bergen Mental Healthcare will be at the May 25 council meeting providing an update on its development plans. The meeting has been rescheduled over the past few months; the May 25 meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.

5) A few more longtime teachers of Ridgewood are bowing out – G.W. English teacher Francine Sussman, with 25 years of village experience; and Barbara Glotzer of RHS, will be leaving after 33 years in Ridgewood.
