RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A national organization promoting women artists is celebrating its 125th anniversary with a satellite exhibition at the Ridgewood Art Institute.
Founded by Catherine Lorillard Wolfe — a philanthropist and one of the founders of the Metropolitan Museum of Art — the organization is welcoming visitors to view a juried member and associates show at the institute, now through Oct. 1.
Many artists in the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club are also Ridgewood Art Institute members, and some of them even teach there, club President Karene Infranco said, adding that the institute's galleries are also renowned.
