Photos: Ten Hoeve Sworn In, Pfund at Council Meeting
Check your calendar – it's 2011 and the former mayor was at the council meeting, and the village said hi to a new deputy clerk
The names will certainly sound familiar. Ten Hoeve and Pfund were back in the Sydney Stoldt Court Room on a Wednesday night, though it wasn't exactly a trip in time back to 2008.
Former Mayor David Pfund briefly attended the village council meeting on Wednesday night, posing for a photo with residents Roger Weigand and Boyd Loving. Pfund left fairly quickly thereafter to catch his son's baseball game across the way at Vet's Field.
Donna Ten Hoeve was sworn in by the mayor as the Deputy Village Clerk. Mayor Killion again wanted to quash any potential rumors that Ms. Ten Hoeve was related to Jim Ten Hoeve, who operated as the village manager before Ken Gabbert took over.
Village Clerk Heather Mailander has been operating without a deputy clerk since former Deputy Clerk Stephanie Evans left. She had requested some help as she can get a great many OPRA requests and has a specified time in which she needs to comply with the request. Ten Hoeve will help with those requets, officials report.
