Porch Light Announces "Charlie Brown" as Next Youth Troupe Performance

A youth groups performance of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" is coming to Glen Rock next month.

Porch Light's Youth Performance Troupe will be performing the musical May 6-8, with performances on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

"Charlie Brown" captures the poignant moments in the lives of Charles Schultz’s beloved Peanuts gang. From Valentine's Day to the trials of baseball season, this charming coming-of-age musical journeys from wild optimism to utter despair, from bright uncertain morning to hopeful starlit evening. 

The show is directed by Ryan Pifher, with music directed by Tristian Luysterburg and choreography by Jennifer Montague.

The Youth Performance Troupe is an audition-based group consisting of middle school-age performers from Glen Rock and Ridgewood. YPT members are given various performance opportunities throughout the year in addition to advanced training.

YPT members will also be performing selected musical numbers at Glen Rock's 'Relay for Life' event on May 14, according to a Porch Light press release.
