Put On A Coat: Canada Goose Store Opens This Week In Bergen County

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — You know a clothing brand is high-end when Annie Leibovitz shoots its photos (see above). Just in time for winter, the newest Canada Goose store has flown into American Dream Mall, having opened this past Friday.

Since it's in Bergen County, the store will be closed on Sundays, but open the other days of the week.

The "performance luxury brand" is known for its lined coats that fight "extreme temperatures" up north. It's also known for high-end products, like this $1,050 Copal Cashmere Turtleneck.

A store representative said, "Canada Goose is continuing its Northeast expansion with a permanent storefront in the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey... As the brand’s sixth permanent store on the East Coast, the new location welcomes fans of the brand and newcomers to explore the full Canada Goose product assortment."

The 4,200 square foot store is located on the second level of American Dream in the Avenues wing.

'Largest Collection Of Inuit Art'

The store hopes to create an "immersive experience" and will have a gallery-like design, with new installations from the Canada Goose Art Collection, which makes up the largest retail collection of Inuit art in the world with over 500 artworks in over 50 stores.

The curation also will be centered around a water theme, featuring artists Kyle Scheurmann, Patrick Thompson, Ooloosie Saila, and Nicotye Samayualie.

Fight 'Extreme Temperatures'

Items in the "Leading with Women" Fall/Winter '23 Collection include, for those facing "extreme temperatures," a Rhoda Parka in black or limestone, $1,750, a Rhoda Hooded Vest, $995, and a Marlow Jacket, $1,250.

Hours are: Monday-Friday, 11-7; Saturday, 11-9.
