Popular Irish bar takes over 50 percent of the vote

The popular bar nestled behind the train tracks of the Ridgewood downtown was opened 25 years ago by locals Scott and Eileen Smith. It proves popular with the dinner crowd, the 'OMG-I-Just-Turned-21' crowd, and the older 9-5ers getting off the train after a long day in the city.
Mac Murphy's actually kicked off St. Patrick's Day a bit early this year, celebrating last Friday and Saturday with an authentic menu, all kinds of Guiness and a bagpiper.
