Ridgewood And Glen Rock Candidates Will Debate In Upcoming Foums: Here's When

The League of Women Voters has planned live forums and debates for Ridgewood and Glen Rock candidates. See how to watch in person or home.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The League of Women Voters has announced various election events for Ridgewood and Glen Rock.

This Wednesday, they'll be hosting an in-person debate for the four candidates running for three spots on the Village Council.

Glen Rock

The League of Women Voters of Glen Rock announced dates for Candidates’ Night for Town Council and Board of Education.

The Borough Council candidates' forum will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at Glen Rock Borough Hall. The following four council candidates are running for two open three-year council positions:

  • Anne Marie Leonard (R)
  • William Leonard, Sr. (R)
  • Jill Orlich (D, Incumbent)
  • Maureen Rozanski (D)

The forum for Board of Education candidates will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at Glen Rock Borough Hall. There are six candidates running for the three open Board of Education seats, three-year terms:

  • Boaz Cohen
  • Daniel Corey (Incumbent)
  • Greogry S. Fuller
  • Karyn Stephenson (Incumbent)
  • Sivan Romascanu
  • Allan Storinge Jr.

The forums are open to the public and will be held in-person. Only residents attending can submit questions that evening. Questions should be formatted to facilitate detailed responses among candidates on Glen Rock issues verses questions that require one-word answers.

In addition to the in-person event, Candidates’ Nights will be live streamed on GRTV Channel 77 (Cablevision), Channel 32 (FIOS), League of Women Voters of Glen Rock Facebook page and the League’s YouTube channel. The taped broadcast of Candidates Nights will be available the following day on Glen Rock TV’s Vimeo Channel and the League’s YouTube channel.
