RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Ridgewood will hold its 10th Annual “Giving Thanks” Elder Dinner this weekend.
The Village described it as a "cherished community tradition honoring Ridgewood’s senior residents with an afternoon of delicious food, gratitude, fellowship and holiday cheer."
The dinner will take place Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Old Paramus Reformed Church in Ridgewood, "bringing together seniors from throughout the Village for a complimentary home-cooked Thanksgiving-style meal and live musical entertainment."

“This event embodies the spirit of Ridgewood—neighbors coming together to care for one another,” said Ridgewood Councilmember Siobhan Winograd, who served on the committee that launched the event a decade ago. “It’s been a tradition for 10 consecutive years, including during the COVID-19 pandemic when we loaded boxes of meals into the trunks of cars and delivered them to people’s homes.”
The Elder Dinner is made possible through the combined efforts of the Ridgewood Parks & Recreation Department, HealthBarn Foundation, and Age Friendly Ridgewood, with the help of numerous volunteers and organizations including the Civic Youth Corps.
