Ridgewood HS Senior Among Selected to Represent NJ in Leadership Conference

Along with a $5,000 scholarship, the two selected students will meet President Obama, federal judges and more.

Two Bergen County seniors - including one from Ridgewood High School - will represent New Jersey at the 53rd annual U.S. Senate Youth Program in March.

Gabriel Voorhis-Allen, from Ridgewood High School, and Maria Mendoza, a Bergen County Academies student from Lyndhurst, will attend the week-long, all-expenses-paid government and leadership conference in Washington, D.C., according to NorthJersey.com.

Along with a $5,000 scholarship, Voorhis-Allen and Mendoza will meet President Obama, federal judges and more.
