Ridgewood Police Arrest Four 'Suspicious Persons' for Drug, Alcohol Possession

The men, ages 18, 19, 22 and 23, were seen entering the woods near a home on McKinley Place.

Four “suspicious persons” were arrested for being in possession of drugs and alcohol last week after Ridgewood police saw the four males ”enter the woods near a residence on McKinley” Place while on burglary patrol on the morning of Dec. 12.

Ibrahim Ismail, 19, of Palisades Park, Shaquille Jenkins, 22, of Hackensack, Jonathan Pasch, 23, of Montvale and Neel Patel, 18, of Montvale were arrested after police determined they were in possession of marijuana and alcohol, Ridgewood Police Chief John Ward said.

They were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and according to the press release, the men were also charged with underage possession of alcohol, though it was not made clear whether or not the two males over the legal drinking age were also charged with the latter.

Ismail, Jenkins, Pasch and Patel were released pending an appearance in Ridgewood Municipal Court.

The Ridgewood Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in immediately reporting any suspicious vehicles or persons.
