Ridgewood's Recycle-a-Bicycle Event Is This Weekend

People who donate a bike may buy one for $10. Bikes purchased without a donation will cost $30.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The village's annual Recycle-a-Bicycle trade-in event is Saturday and Sunday at George Washington Middle School.

All the bikes are often recycled within Ridgewood. The Recycle-a-Bicycle Club takes the remaining bikes and donates them to Paterson children's charities, according to the event's web page.

Swapping a bike comes with a $10 fee. Buying a used bike with no donation costs $30.

Donated bikes must be in good working condition.

Bike donations will be at George Washington Middle School. Donations will be accepted Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Used bikes will be sold Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
