Following in the footsteps of Glen Rock and others nation-wide, the has taken steps to beef up its digital presence.

Over the past few weeks, the village police have set up and pushed its new Facebook page, posting dozens of pictures from various crime scenes and storm emergencies.

The page also contains press releases of recent alleged crimes and various warnings to residents.

Police Chief John Ward said the department also has plans to improve its website, found at rpd.ridgewood.net.
