Considering a Run for Village Council?

Then it's time to pick up your packet

Those considering a run for three open village council seats should be heading down to the top floor of to pick up a packet.

The terms of Mayor Keith Killion, Councilman Paul Aronsohn and Councilman Steve Wellinghorst are set to expire in summer of 2012.

Aronsohn has said he plans on ; Killion and Wellinghorst recently told Patch they're undecided but leaning toward running.

The three seats for the non-partisan council are four-year terms. The deadline to file nominating petitions is March 5. Packets are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. excluding holidays.

The election date is May 8 with victors sworn in at the reorganization meeting on July 1.
