Saturday: Villager Makes State's Best Salsa

1) The 22nd Annual New Jersey State Chili and Salsa Cook-off was held last Saturday in Toms River and Ridgewood's Damir Penava took home $400 and first place in the salsa category. Penava is invited to the International Chilly Society's World Championship later this year.

2) The district announced will have a minimum school day on June 24 as a result of the fire earlier this school year.

3) Christopher Fabish was appointed guidance counselor at RHS effective the upcoming school year. Richard Cornwell, a part-time mathematics teacher at RHS is resigning at the end of the school year.

4) The Ridgewood Public Library is having its drop-in storytelling time at 10:30 a.m.
