Six Candidates Apply for Vacant BOE Seat

Six candidates have eyes on filling Charlie Reilly's BOE seat in September.

By the , Eric Gross, Jim Morgan, Janice Willett, Gwen Sullivan, Rei Shinozuka and Vince Loncto all submitted applications, according to the district.

The Ridgewood Board of Education will be interviewing the candidates on Monday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. Because the takes place at the same time, the meeting will not be broadcast on Optimum Channel 77. It will be live on the school's webcast and on FiOS Channel 33.

The board will announce the appointee on November 7. The appointee will serve until the upcoming spring elections. Whomever is elected will complete the term, which ends spring of 2013.
