A woman was issued a summons after a crash Wednesday at an intersection that left a man hospitalized with a traumatic injury, police said.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A woman was issued a summons for failure to stop or yield after a two-vehicle collision early Wednesday in Ridgewood that resulted in a traumatic injury for the other driver, Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said.

The woman, 53, of Midland Park, said that although she stopped at the stop sign, she did not see the other vehicle due to sun glare. The other driver, a 77-year-old Paramus man, was hospitalized with a head injury, Luthcke said.

The crash, which involved an Infiniti QX60 and an Acura TSX, occurred at 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Cantrell Road, police said.
