Sunday: Lax on a Day of Maternal Celebration

1) The girls varsity lacrosse team will play Mahwah for the semi-finals of the Bergen County Tournament. The girls played national power St. Anthony's in New York on Saturday and unfortunately lost, but will have the opportunity to rebound and continue its quest to again repeat as state champs. The game begins at 1:30 p.m at IHA.

2) The boys lacrosse team is also in action, looking to again take down Ramapo in its semi-final of the Bergen County Tournament. The game starts at 11:30 a.m. at Indian Hills.

3) It's Mother's Day as you well may know, and at 11 a.m. is sponsoring a one-hour walk through Grove Park with Dr. Mike Sebitich, a professor of biology at William Paterson.

4) Head to Emmanuel Baptist Church. The church will be doing this to give disaster relief blankets in honor or in memory of important women through Church World Service. Each blanket is $5.00.

5) There's still time to , which is looking for young artists in Ridgewood and surrounding communities to enter an exhibition, age 7 to 17. One submission is allowed.
