These Ridgewood And Glen Rock Schools Have The Best Teachers

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Teachers at several village and Glen Rock schools stack up well against their peers.

A ranking specialist that rates everything in education, including schools, has created a list of what it says are schools with the best teachers in New Jersey.

According to Niche.com, the rankings are based on "student and parent ratings of teachers, teacher salaries, teacher absenteeism, teacher tenure, student-teacher ratio, and the Niche Academics Grade for the school. Read more on how this ranking was calculated.

The following local schools were included in the rankings:

• Travell Elementary School, Ridgewood (No. 21)
• George Washington Middle School, Ridgewood (No. 35)
• Ridge Elementary School, Ridgewood (No. 48)
• The Central School, Glen Rock (No. 52)
• Somerville Elementary School, Ridgewood (No. 73)
• Hawes Elementary School, Ridgewood (no. 87)

Bergen County Academies in Hackensack was ranked No. 62.
