
1) The Ridgewood HS football team (1-2) is looking to get its season back on track after being outscored by nearly 70 points combined in its last two losses. Clifton (2-2) is no Don Bosco and hopefully it's no Ramapo either, so the Maroons might ground-and-pound the Mustangs to victory. The game starts at 7:00 p.m. at Clifton.
2) The village looks like it will be approving a resolution to award printing the 2012 village calendar with the theme "Ridgewood Sports Decades of Activity." Because it's using recycled paper, officials say the costs will be lower.

4) The next regular public meeting of the Board of Education will take place on Monday, October 24, at 7 p.m. but you won't see it on television. Why? Well, for whatever reason it's the same scheduled night as one of the special Valley "H-Zone" meetings. The school board meeting can still be viewed live from the district website.
5) From the latest RPSeNews: RHS sophomore Michael Orlando fulfilled his Eagle Scout requirements by focusing on the restoration of the circle leading the entrance to the high school on Heermance Place. Michael researched and designed the project and raised over $3,000 to install a spectacular seating and landscape area that beautifies the school and provides a wonderful environment for students to use. This was a spectacular gift to the high school.
