Thursday: Sports Writer at Bookends, Will Talk Jeter

1) Sports writer Ian O'Connor will be at Bookends , The Captain: The Journey of Derek Jeter at 7:00 p.m. at Bookends. The ESPN NY reporter is also the author of The New York Times best seller Arnie & Jack: Palmer, Nicklaus, and Golf's Greatest Rivalry. He also wrote The Jump: Sebastian Telfair and the High Stakes Business of High School Ball.

2) It's the at 6:45 p.m. at the high school, where appetizers and light refreshments are on hand. Of course, the star of the show will be students' art work. Get there early and grab a spot!

3) The boys varsity lacrosse team in an away game at 4:00 p.m. The boys recently took home the county championship.

4)  The girls varsity softball team plays IHA in an away game at 4:15 p.m. The team was recently booted from the Bergen County tournament by rival Paramus.

5) The West Side will have its trash collected on Thursday with recycling pickup in Area 7 and yard waste in Area C.
