Thursday: Teen Substance Abuse Seminar
Panel of speakers will discuss challenges of combatting teen drinking and drug abuse at RHS Campus Center tonight

1) Ridgewood High School's top educator says . Jack Lorenz is strongly urging all parents to attend Parent2Parent: Alcohol and Our Teens Town Hall Dinner at the RHS Campus Center beginning at 6:30 p.m. Police, school administrators, doctors from Valley will all discuss the current issues and what can be done to quell the problems. It's Greek to Me will provide dinner.
2) The Ridgecrest senior housing development on Ridge Rd. will be paying a total of $160,000 in a payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) to the village for sewage removal and bond backing, according to a resolution passed at Wednesday night's council meeting.
3) Months after , the council has just added an alternate member. Susan Knudsen was appointed to a term ending in June of 2013. The board is still short another alternate after from alternates to fill Cronk and Vellis's seats.

4) The Citizens Safety Committee will meet at 7 p.m. at Village Hall.
5) The Ridgewood boys soccer team has done it again – the Maroons bested Paramus in a home game 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon. The team enters the upcoming county tournament as the #2 seed.
