Thursday: Vibe with a Mechanical Bull at Blend
Catch up on some recent council happenings as well

1) Village Manager Ken Gabbert reported that the village will indeed be keeping Valley National Bank as its bank after interest rates and an RFP was made. The village can expect a savings of $60,000 through savings per year, he said.
2) The Village Engineer, Chris Rutishauser, said that the was a "great one" and the village would incur no costs in developing. The council agreed, also individually saying "it's great."
3) You may have heard that the village council meetings are now available for view on Cablevision and Verizon. Mayor Keith Killion reported that he's received e-mail complaints that the meetings are not broadcast on DISH Network, though there are no immediate plans to be on DISH. Killion said the village is currently negotiating to have meetings broadcast on NORAD. (Yes, he was joking . . . we think.)

4) Say goodbye to humidity. Thursday will be sunny, with a high near 77 and breezy, with a northwest wind between 11 and 21 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Gusts could be as high as 32 mph.
5) Blend will be holding its usual Vibe Thursday with music provided by DJ Gary W, DJ K-Spins, DJ Marco Spin, DJ PDP, and DJ Nick@Nite. There is a mechanical bull and draft or bottled beer is $3 and well drinks are $4.
