Tuesday: RHS Girls Coach Jeff Yearing Announces Retirement

Yearing finished his 24th year as coach of one of North Jersey's most successful programs.

1) Get on the bus and head out to Philadelphia to see a flower show courtesy of the Parks and Recreation department, all about Paris in the springtime. The bus leaves the Graydon lot at 8:00 a.m. and comes back at 5:30ish. Oui Oui!

2) The Ho-Ho-Kus Brook and the Saddle River topped out at 7 feet of streamwater, one foot above the flood level, while total precipitation in the village was 3.6 inches, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

3) The Board of Adjustment meets at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall.

4) Jeff Yearing, longtime girls soccer coach at RHS, announced his retirement as a teacher in the district. Yearing is one of North Jersey's most successful coaches on the girls' side and his squads have also been stars in the classroom as well; they've in nearly as many years from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

5) Tuesday is the last day to register one's candidacy for a three-year term on the school board. Incumbents Sheila Brogan and Laurie Goodman have but no others had filed as of Monday afternoon.
