Valley Neighborhood Holding Block Sale, Proceeds to Support CRR

A neighborhood near The Valley Hospital will be holding a block sale on Friday and Saturday (May 6, 7) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with all proceeds going to the Concerned Residents of Ridgewood (CRR), a group that has voiced opposition to the hospital's expansion proposal.

Lorraine Reynolds, who resides at 550 Wyndemere, says she has over 700 plants to sell this weekend. "I have been in the garden working hard," she said in an e-mail to Patch.

Additionally, Reynolds stated that others in the neighborhood are donating things for the cause, such as furniture, bicycles, and even a piano set.

"People have been extremely generous in their donations," she said.

The block sale will be near the intersection of John St. and Wyndemere Ave and there are a reported 16 houses participating.
