Vehicles Stolen, Home Burglarized In Ridgewood Recently: Police
All the vehicles were unlocked and the keys left inside, police said.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A home was burglarized and several vehicles were burglarized and stolen earlier this month, police said.
A mountain bike worth $425 was stolen from a North Pleasant Avenue home. The resident reported the burglary and theft to police Monday, police said. Someone entered the detached garage and stole the bike.
A Fairfield Avenue reported Sunday that, after coming home from a 10-day vacation, their vehicle was stolen out of their driveway, police said. The vehicle was left unlocked with the keys inside.

Three other unlocked vehicles in the driveway were burglarized and property stolen, police said.
Ridgewood police investigated nine reported car burglaries and a theft on July 10. All the vehicles were unlocked overnight. A vehicle was stolen from a Northern Parkway driveway overnight, police said.

Police remind people to take their valuables and keys out of vehicles and lock them.
These types of crimes are preventable and are crimes of opportunity, police said.
