Village Purchases Three New Police Cars

Council approves three Crown Vics for $100K

Although the price tag seemed steep to one resident, the village agreed to purchase three new police cars at $33,000 a pop.

According to the bid spec, the cars exceed the statuatory limit set by the council resolution of $21,000 for the three 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors.

Asked by resident Boyd Loving why the price appeared so exorbitant, Mayor Keith Killion said the village was restricted to pick up the state bid.
