Wednesday: Fish 'n Chips at Christ Church

Many interesting events happening today in Ridgewood like lunches, dinners, classes on adoption and a meet-and-greet with the LSHSA.

1) The Brits may not be known for their great cuisine, but one of its most popular items will be featured at Wednesday night from 5 to 7 p.m. That's right, get the fry pan and enjoy fish 'n chips. The $13 tickets had to be purchased in advance.

2) The Ridgewood Community School will be holding a at B.F. Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The class is for adoptive parents to learn about what their children think about. Tickets are $30 per person and $40 per family.

3) A line item for senior bus transportation at a budget meeting has been moved from the council's budget to what council members thought to be a more appropriate budget – the manager's office. Council members said at Tuesday's budget meeting they couldn't quite figure out why it was there in the first place. The item has an expense of more than $40,000.

4) The Woman's Club of Ridgewood will have its presenting a program on the benefits and fun of ballroom dancing. A business meeting and catered lunch precede the program, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

5) The Learning Services Home School Association (LSHSA) will be holding a social at Tricia Mueller's house from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., where parents of children with special needs can meet, greet and learn from one another. Mueller's address is 169 West End Avenue and no RSVP is needed.
