Winter Registration Open for Glen Rock Community School

Classes include ballroom dancing, basketball, guitar, photography and more for winter of 2012

Registration is now open for the winter semester, the Glen Rock Public Schools said in a release Monday.

According to the release, the brochure has been sent to those in Glen Rock, Ridgewood and surrounding communities.

Some classes begin on the week of Jan. 9, though most begin early February.

Class offerings include ESL, Italian, Portrait Drawing, Ballroom Dancing, PowerPoint, Qi Gong, Digital Photography, Guitar, Standing Pilates for Seniors, Zumba and Yoga for adults; Boys' Basketball for grades 4-8, Zumba for Teens, Behind-the-Wheel Driver Education and Ballet for children and teens; and Abrakadoodle Art Classes and PC Playhouse computer classes for preschoolers.

The GRCS will also be Broadway bound with trips and tickets to "Jersey Boys," and "War Horse." They’ve expanded their lineup of daytime trips in the tri-state area, including the Philadelphia Flower Show, a Ghostly Tour of Manhattan, a day at the Sands Casino, and Longwood Gardens to name a few. There are also extended trips to Boston, Myrtle Beach, Montreal, Cape Codd and Lake George.
