The Bergen Center for Child Development is holding a food drive to help families in need this holiday season. Mrs. Karen Pinsdorf’s high school class will be collecting non-perishable food items now, through December 20.
The donated food items will be given to the Center for Food Action (CFA Englewood, 192 West Demarest Avenue). As part of CFA’s ongoing effort to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy, they have just finished their third delivery of emergency food to hundreds of Little Ferry and Moonachie residents. CFA Mobile continues distributing emergency food to 924 hard hit individuals in Moonachie and Little Ferry. CFA plans to continue distributing emergency food to area residents as they begin to rebuild and move forward.
Since there has been such an overwhelming demand for food especially after Hurricane Sandy and with the onset of the holiday season, CFA is asking for more donations of non-perishable foods. Please help us help others.
