BC Soccer Volunteers at Bergen Bike Tour

Crusaders soccer spent Sunday volunteering their time in Mahwah

Bergen Catholic’s Crusader Soccer program has not limited its talents to only the soccer field, but has continued its rich tradition of serving the local Bergen County community. On Sunday September 30, the Crusader Soccer team volunteered their time at the 2012 Bergen Bike Tour held at Darlington Park in Mahwah.

“We were happy to help at the Bergen Bike Tour which benefits a terrific organization in the Tomorrow’s Children Fund,” said BC varsity soccer coach Rui DosSantos. “BC Soccer is committed to excellence on the field as players, and volunteering our time answers to ourcommitment to community service off the field, and the growth of the person beyond the game

The Bergen Bike Tour is a fun-filled, family-oriented event that annually raises funds for two charities:Tomorrow’s Children Fund and The Volunteer Center of Bergen County. The Bergen Catholic student-athletes hosted a children’s soccer clinic in addition to supporting the rest of the event throughout the morning.
