Business Volunteer Council to Meet April 13

The next meeting of the Northern New Jersey Business Volunteer Council (BVC) will be Wednesday, April 13, 8:30 am to 10 am. The meeting will be hosted by Classic Residence, a Vi Community, at 655 Pomander Walk, Teaneck.  Representatives from any corporation or business interested in involving its employees in activities to benefit the community are invited to attend.

The focus of the meeting will be planning for the BVC’s new Community FoodGarden initiative, and the kick off for Brown Bag Buddies, its annual summer food drive for low-income families.

BVC member companies are installing community gardens this spring at organizations serving low-income families and children throughout Bergen County.  The purpose of the gardening program is to expand access to fresh produce and to promote healthy eating.
