On Saturday morning, November 19, the Diabetes Foundation, Inc. and the Ridgewood YMCA will hold an informational health fair called “Everything Diabetes”.
The event will include blood pressure and glucose screenings, fitness and BMI assessments, and other types oftesting, all free of charge. Professionals will be available to discuss nutrition, weight loss, diabetic medications and supplies, physical activity, behavior change, complications, and signsand symptoms for those at risk.
An educational seminar on Healthy Eating for Diabetics will bepresented by Valley Hospital at 11am. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask the expertsif you have a particular concern. Attendees will enjoy giveaways, cooking demonstrations andrefreshments from vendors and local retailers such as Trader Joe’s and Rite Aid. Admission is free.

The fair will be held from 9am to 12:30pm at the Ridgewood YMCA, 112 Oak St., Ridgewood.
