The Volunteer Center of Bergen County will present an Executive Directors’ Roundtable on Tuesday, April 12, 8:30 am to 10 am, at the Center’s offices at 64 Passaic Street in Hackensack. In honor of National Volunteer Week, the topic will be Pro Bono Volunteering.
Executive Directors, CEOs and trustees from non-profit and government agencies are invited to attend this forum where participants can meet and share mutual concerns and strategies which can help meet their organizations’ goals.
David Warshaw, founder and principal of Vistas Volunteer Management Solutions, a consulting firm helping businesses and non-profits build capacity to improve their communities through strategic volunteering, will present “Get on Board the Pro Bono Express.” He will discuss how to utilize volunteers for their specific professional knowledge and training to augment non-profit management capacity or achieve operational goals.

Skills based or pro bono volunteering has the potential to bring additional energy to help non-profits meet their critical missions. This workshop session will explore what’s firing the trend towards more pro bono volunteering, and how non-profits can better organize to take advantage of this growing resource.
There is no fee for attending the Executive Directors’ Roundtable, but pre-registration is required. Deadline for registration is April 8.
