Highlights of the Newark Museum

The Newark Museum Speakers Bureau will provide a glimpse of the internationally acclaimed permanent art and science collections in New Jersey's largest museum.

Museum guest passes will be given to all participants.

Its extensive Decorative Arts Collection includes the National Historic Landmark, the 19th century Ballantine Mansion. 

The Arts of Africa Collection encompasses both traditional and contemporary art from cultures throughout the continent.

The Arts of Asia Collection provides a sampling of secular and religious art ranging from Korean celadon to Chinese embroidery, to Japanese prints and its renowned Tibetan Collection, one of the finest in the world. 

The Picturing America galleries place American Art in their cultural and historic context from the 17th through the 21st centuries. 

The Museum's science collection includes the Dreyfuss Planetarium, the oldest in New Jersey and Dynamic Earth, whose interactive exhibits illustrate the impact of our continually changing world.
